Chenodeoxycholine acid (CDCA) is a variety of animal bile contained in the primary bile acid, chicken bile is also one of the main active ingredients, the content of chicken bile in the bile acid 80%. In traditional medicine, chicken bile for the treatment of respiratory diseases, such as pediatric pertussis, bronchitis, pneumonia, cough, etc., and the exact effect. The study on the pharmacological effects of chicken bile has also shown that chicken bile has anti-inflammatory, antihypertensive, antispasmodic, asthma and other aspects of pharmacological effects, these studies for the development and utilization of chicken bile pharmacological value of the laying a certain theory basis.
Bile and bile acid research has always been a hot spot in the field of chemistry and medicine science. The research focus has been explored from the initial separation and structural identification to pharmacological action and mechanism of action. Chenodeoxycholic acid as an important component of bile acid in chicken bile, whether it has a pharmacological effect similar to that of chicken bile, and the relationship between the main pharmacological effects of chicken bile and its active ingredients has not been studied in depth. To this end, this study explored the effects of chenodeoxycholic acid on antitussive, asthma and expectorant.
