Animal bile is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine, both important physiological significance, but also has unique clinical application value. Ursodeoxycholic acid and chenodeoxycholic acid are two kinds of endogenous bile acids, ursodeoxycholic acid in the clinical important position, the application of more fully studied, chenodeoxycholic acid and ursodeoxycholic acid is poor. To the isomers, less reports related to the two substances in the comparative study. Chenodeoxycholic acid and ursodeoxycholic acid are both different and inextricably linked, the systematic study of these two substances, for the bile acid drug research, application and development of great significance.
Chenodeoxycholic acid(CDCA) is the 7β epimer of UDCA. Chemical name 3α, 7α-dihydroxy-5β-cholestane-24-acid, molecular formula C24H40O4, molecular weight 392.58, is a white or pale yellow needle-like crystals. CDCA is endogenous, hydrophobic primary bile acids. 1848 for the first time in the goose bile found in 1972, the United States, the United Kingdom have reported that CDCA can dissolve X-ray transmission of gallstones. 1975 CDCA written pharmacopoeia, China 2000 edition of the Pharmacopoeia is not included. CDCA exists more than ursodeoxycholic acid in chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, sheep and other animals in the bile, there is a considerable proportion of CDCA exists.
